Pearl Golf Links - Calabash, North Carolina
Straddling the historic fishing village of Calabash and Sunset Beach, North Carolina, the Pearl Golf Links
will leave you in awe. After playing here you will understand how the game of golf was meant to be enjoyed.
Designed by architect Dan Maples, both courses at Pearl Links are seaside legends. With the majestic Calabash River at
every turn and fairways boarded by whispering pines every shot here is an absolute treat.
The first of two 18-hole courses, The East Course is fairly short at 6,793 yards. Five different tee
placements ensure that there is a shot for everybody on this links style course. As is typical of most Carolina courses
on half the holes you will find open, long fairways allowing you to use your driver. The other nine though are narrow or
host strategically placed hazards requiring you to use every club in your bag.
The West Course at Pearl Links is more open than its counterpart. Where there were graceful pines lining
the fairways on the East Course, here you will find sand traps and water hazards. Again though, with five different tee
placements, there is a shot for everyone on The West Course.
For the golfer who is a little hesitant about his game, an on-site practice facility is available. A full service pro-shop
is conveniently located at the club. Here you will find the latest gear for men and women. The shop even provides club
rentals to those who want to catch a quick game but forgot their clubs at home.
At the end of your game retire to the Pearl Golf Links Restaurant and Bar. Here you will find everything
from a full service restaurant to a lounge where you can enjoy a drink with your group.
All of this with plenty of Southern hospitality. Really there is no reason not to play Pearl Golf Links.
