Foxfire Resort and Country Club - Sandhills, North Carolina
Since its opening in 1968, Foxfire Golf and Country Club has developed a reputation as one of the premiere
golf destinations in the Sandhills area of North Carolina.
Located in a region that was traditionally used for fox hunting, at Foxfire you will find 36 holes of traditional golf
designed by renowned golf architect, Gene Hamm. Playing here you will be walking on the same fairways, putting on the
same fairways as some of golf's legends.
With two traditional courses, each with its own character, there is something for everyone here. Both however meander
through the tall pines and over the rolling terrain of the Sandhills, the features that have made this region famous for
golf.
On the Foxfire East Course you will find a more traditional, classic course. The tree lined fairways
follow the natural contours of the land creating some unique lies. Strategically placed bunkers add to this challenge.
Ending this course you will shoot along side of Lake Mackenzie creating the perfect finish.
The West Course at Foxfire is the most recently updated. As part of the club's multi-million dollar
update, new G-6 bentgrass green, new bunkers, new cart paths and a new irrigation system ensure that this course is
nothing but championship caliber. Known for its challenging par 3s you will have your hands full trying to keep a low
score on this course.
Even the non-golfers in your group will love their stay at Foxfire. Spend the day walking among the
historic English gardens. Have tea in one of the many tea rooms located throughout the property – or simply enjoy your
day admiring the view from your lakeside villa.
After spending your next vacation here you might never want to go anywhere else.
